Our Team

Ali Nizami

President – CIMA

Message from the President:  Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

It is a privilege to serve as President of the Canadian Indian Muslims Association (CIMA)—an organization rooted in faith, unity, and a deep sense of community. CIMA was established to bring together Canadian Muslims of Indian heritage, while embracing the diversity and inclusivity that define our broader Muslim and Canadian identity. We strive to create a platform where families connect, traditions are preserved, and future generations are inspired with strong values and a sense of belonging.

Our mission goes beyond organizing events. We are committed to:
•Strengthening community bonds
•Supporting charitable and humanitarian causes
•Empowering youth and nurturing leadership
•Promoting cultural identity alongside Islamic values

Over the years, CIMA has become a trusted and respected name within the Calgary Muslim community. This has only been possible through the dedication of our volunteers, the guidance of our elders, and the unwavering support of our members. As we look ahead, we aim to continue raising the bar—creating impactful programs, fostering meaningful relationships, and building a legacy that reflects excellence, sincerity, and خدمت (service).

I invite each one of you to take ownership of this journey. Together, we can shape a stronger, more connected, and more compassionate community, InshaAllah.

May Allah (SWT) accept our efforts, unite our hearts, and guide us in all that we do.
